Power Play Scoring Game

  1. 60 seconds and progresses in 15-second increments:
  2. First 15 seconds: 5-on-0, focus on zone entry, setting up PP structure.
  3. Next 15 seconds: Whistle, 1 PK player enters the zone, for 5-on-1.
  4. 15-second increments: add PK player at each whistle until 5-on-4.

Zone Entry:

Enter the zone as in a game, executing planned routes (e.g., double-drop passes, kick-outs). Outside players finish their routes to the boards while supporting the puck carrier.

Puck Management:

If PP scores or frozen puck, new puck immediately.

Use a variety of puck types (rimmed, bouncing) to simulate realistic retrieval situations.

Scoring Competition:

Track goals, 3 – 60-second rounds.

Reinforce habits for successful zone entry and sustained puck control.
