LOW GIVE AND GO DRILL

I use this drill frequently; it is very fast-paced. Players often rush through it and may neglect to track rebounds, so it’s important to make sure they do! Here’s a simple breakdown of the drill:

1. Player 1 passes the puck to another Player 1 at the goal line and then skates to the net to receive a return pass (a low give-and-go).
2. After chasing the rebound, Player 1, who took the shot, moves to the goal line on the other side.
3. The same sequence is then repeated with Player 2.  Player 2 passes to player 1, then goes for the return pass….etc.

This drill is continuous. Remember to keep your heads up, keep your sticks on the ice for passing, and track those rebounds!
