SHOT/TIP/REBOUND GAME

1.  Goals scored off tips/re-directs, rebounds or if the goalie is screened.  Clean shots do not count.

2.  Drill starts as a three-on-3 at either net.

3.  When the defensive team gains possession of the puck, they pass to their D, sprint to the opposite net for the net front position and the offensive team sprints to box out. The offensive and defensive roles change.

WHEN ON OFFENSIVE:  Get to the rugged area (net front), create layered screens, take goalies’ eyes away (screen), stick on the ice looking for tips, and battle for rebounds.

WHEN ON DEFENSE:  Box out – get net/me/man positioning, get under sticks or clamp, and work on hips to clear the front of the net.  Be ready to battle for rebounds.
